Abbas Hashemi

Soapstone is a type of metamorphic rock. It has been a medium for carving for thousands of years. Soapstone is relatively soft because of its high talc content. Softer grades may feel similar to soap when polished and touched, hence the name. I used Soapstone in 2001 for the first time (I always hear you Ref: S022), and it proved to be a very pleasing stone.
